Here's a look at who the Kansas City Chiefs were able to secure for spots on their practice squad.

The Kansas City Chiefs finalized their practice squad this week with a good mixture of players to provide insurance and upside. Some players have been established in the league, some are rookies and some are merely lottery tickets for future usage.

Andrew Armstrong, Wide Receiver

Armstrong flashed with seven receptions for 85 yards in three preseason games. He showed the ability to make tough catches and had a long of 20 yards. He was an undrafted free-agent in 2025 and spent time with the Miami Dolphins before signing with the Detroit Lions’ practice squad. He has good size at 6-foot-4 and 210 pounds and made a case to make the 53-man roster. The Chiefs are loaded with young receivers, and he could certainly carve out a role at some point this season.

Emmanuel Ogbah, Defensive End

Ogbah was picked up late in camp and appeared in two preseason games. Ogbah was on the 2019 Super Bowl-winning Chiefs team before signing a long-term deal with the Dolphins. Now 32, he has 47.5 career sacks with career highs of nine in 2020 and 2021. The Chiefs are dealing with some injuries at the position, and he could be one of the first players to be elevated.

Jaydn Ott, Running Back

The Chiefs opted to keep just three running backs on the 53-man roster, which is a little uncommon in today’s NFL. Ott, an undrafted rookie from Oklahoma, is a 5-foot-11, 208-pound runner. He only played seven games as a senior with the Sooners. His best season in college came as a sophomore at Cal when he rushed for a conference-high 246 times for 1,315 yards and added 12 touchdowns. He flashed as a receiver in limited opportunities in the preseason, hauling in two catches for 40 yards.
