Kai Trump, the granddaughter of President Donald Trump, was at the Lincoln Center in New York City on Wednesday night for the 2026 ESPYS.
Trump had a busy 2025, committing to the University of Miami and making her LPGA Tour debut at The Annika. Although she had an opening round score of 13-over 83, she enjoyed every second of that tournament.
“I was definitely more nervous than I expected, but I thought I hit a lot of great shots out there,” she told reporters. “I hit a lot of good shots just to the wrong spots. … Felt like my game is in a good spot, and especially only being a senior in high school.”

While at the ESPYS, Trump spoke to Sportico about her career and the importance of inspiring the next generation of female golfers. She was then asked about this year's America 250 events and the integration of politics in sports.
Despite being the U.S. president's granddaughter, Trump isn't a fan of politics.
"Honestly, I kind of stay out of politics completely - it's just not my thing," Trump said. "But I think the UFC event was great and it was really cool being there. Having veterans in the stadium is how you can combine the America 250 [with sports]."

Trump, 19, is hoping she'll continue elevating her brand as a golfer and social media influencer while at Miami.
“I am beyond excited to announce my verbal commitment to the University of Miami. I would like to thank my mom, Vanessa, and my dad, Don, for always supporting me through my journey,” she wrote on Instagram. “I would also like to thank my great team for getting me to this point. I would like to thank my Grandpa for giving me access to great courses and tremendous support. I would also like to thank my Mormor for always believing in me. I would also like to thank my entire family for always encouraging and pushing me to be the best person I can possibly be. I would like to thank my friends for always cheering me on. Last but not least I would love to thank Coach Janice and Coach Jim for giving me this opportunity. I am supper excited to be a cane and represent the University of Miami. Gooo Canes.”
According to reports, Trump has an NIL valuation of $2.25 million. Suffice to say, there'll be plenty of buzz surrounding her freshman season.
