Juke Harris is one of the most valuable players in the transfer portal right now and the programs lining up for him reflect that. The Wake Forest Demon Deacons guard entered the portal on Tuesday with two years of eligibility remaining and immediately shot up to No. 1 in the On3 Industry Transfer Portal Rankings.
This past season he averaged 21.4 points, 6.5 rebounds and 1.3 steals while shooting 44.4 percent from the field. He scored 750 total points on the year, the second-highest single-season figure in Wake Forest program history. He went for at least 20 points in 17 different games and hit a career-high 38 against Boston College.
The ACC took notice, naming him the Most Improved Player and landing him on the All-ACC Second Team. Harris has also entered his name into the NBA Draft process, keeping his options open on both fronts.

Four potential landing spots for top transfer Juke Harris
Multiple high-major programs are expected to make a serious run at the 6-foot-7 guard. Here are four programs that have emerged as potential landing spots.
Michigan Wolverines
Michigan has already made its move. The Wolverines have reportedly met with Harris, putting themselves ahead of the curve in what figures to be a competitive recruitment. They have seen him firsthand over the past two seasons, falling to him in 2024-25 before escaping with an overtime win the following year.
Head coach Dusty May spoke positively about Harris before that most recent matchup, pointing to the kind of impact he brings on both ends. With Yaxel Lendeborg's eligibility now expired and his spot at small forward open, Harris fits the profile Michigan is looking to fill heading into next season.
Kentucky Wildcats
Mark Pope is rebuilding Kentucky's backcourt and wings heading into 2026-27 and scoring is the priority. Otega Oweh's departure leaves a significant hole, the guard averaged 18.6 points before exhausting his eligibility. Harris checks the boxes Pope is looking for.
He scores at three levels, holds his own on the glass, and can guard multiple positions without being a liability. Tyler Tanner is already a target as Pope works to address the Wildcats' shooting and playmaking concerns but adding Harris on top of that would give Kentucky a genuine offensive weapon capable of keeping them competitive in the SEC.
NC State Wolfpack
Justin Gainey is officially the head coach in Raleigh and he is wasting no time putting his stamp on the NC State Wolfpack roster. Harris is a name that makes sense for what Gainey is trying to build.
NC State struggled to find a consistent offensive focal point last season and Harris would solve that problem immediately. The tradeoff is cost. Bringing in a player of his caliber will likely come with a price tag that squeezes their flexibility elsewhere in the portal.
Tennessee Volunteers
Tennessee is navigating a significant roster overhaul. Jaylen Carey, J.P. Estrella, Cade Phillips and Bishop Boswell have all entered the portal and the Vols are down to Ethan Burg, DeWayne Brown and Troy Henderson as confirmed returners.
Belmont guard Tyler Lundblade has been added but the program still has ground to cover. Harris fits what Tennessee needs. After the season he just put together, emerging as one of the ACC's best wings, he would immediately become one of the more impactful players on any roster he joins.
