While Josh Allen continues preparing for the 2026 season, the Buffalo Bills quarterback recently celebrated a personal milestone: the birth of his first child, a baby girl, with his wife, Hailee Steinfeld. Just days after sharing the news, the couple was spotted celebrating another NFL moment.
Allen and Steinfeld first became publicly linked in May 2023, though their relationship remained private for over a year. They married last offseason, and on Tuesday, the couple announced the arrival of their daughter.
“Special delivery… Our baby girl has arrived!!” they wrote in a joint message. “We’re feeling incredibly grateful and blessed and savoring these early moments. Thank you so much for the love and well wishes. Love, Hailee and Josh.”

A few days later, on April 3, the couple made their first public appearance, attending the wedding of Seattle Seahawks quarterback Sam Darnold and Katie Hoofnagle.
"The Buffalo Bills quarterback and the Academy Award nominee, both 29, attended Darnold's wedding to Katie Hoofnagle on Friday, April 3, PEOPLE can exclusively reveal. The outing came shortly after the couple announced the arrival of their first baby, a girl, through a Substack post on April 2," PEOPLE's Natasha Dye wrote.
Dye added that a source described the couple as “so sweet on the dance floor,” noting that Allen, along with Darnold’s teammates, helped the Super Bowl champion and Hoofnagle with their "crowd surfing for quite a bit of the night."
Allen and Darnold share a long history as both entered the NFL in the 2018 draft. Darnold was selected third overall by the New York Jets, and Allen went seventh to the Bills. The duo were roommates during the pre-draft process, worked out together, and stayed connected throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, with Allen calling Darnold “one of the greatest dudes” he’s ever met.
Their NFL careers, however, have followed different paths. Allen has spent his entire career with the Bills, leading the team to the playoffs in every season except his rookie year, though the championship success has eluded him so far.
Darnold, meanwhile, is on his fifth team, reviving his career with the Minnesota Vikings in 2024 before leading the Seahawks to Super Bowl glory in February. Now, the focus is on Allen and his quest to bring a championship to Buffalo.
