While many would say Major League Baseball is thriving in 2026 - there is an abundance of exciting, young talent and really fun teams to watch - Jorge Posada would disagree.
The New York Yankees legend, in a pretty epic "get off my lawn" rant, sounded off on the state of modern baseball.
Posada, who won four World Series championships with the Yankees, made it clear that he hates what modern baseball has become in 2026.
“The baseball being played today is garbage,” Posada said.
He added: "I can't watch today's (game)."

Posada, a five-time MLB All-Star, has made it clear that he hates analytics, among other things.
“You can’t judge Jeter through a computer," he said.
ESPN college football analyst Kirk Herbstreit very much agreed, too, sounding off on social media.
Herbstreit agrees with Posada's opinion today
Herbstreit made it clear that he agrees in a big way.
"THANK YOU!!!!! Where did the athletic ability go? Clutch hitting in the 8th and 9th inning? Starting pitching that goes 8 or 9 innings? Base stealing-(expletive) just good base running and SPEED?!? Sac bunts-moving runners over late in a game? Where’s Tony Gwynn? Rod Carew? Wade Boggs? Ichiro? Those guys wouldn’t exist in today’s ridiculous HR or K “launch angle” game! The game has been dying with the youth of America for YEARS and now is losing the core fanbase as well with this ridiculous product we’ve had to digest for the last 7-10 years. Bring back Small Ball and athleticism…this (expletive) dreadful!!!"
Many, of course, would disagree.
TV ratings are up, attendance is up in most cities and there is a ton of athleticism all across the sport.
But, unsurprisingly, guys like Herbstreit and Posada think the game was better when they were younger.
