Former NFL Draft first round pick Johnny Manziel made millions during his career, however, he was quick to lose a lot of money, as well.
The former Heisman Trophy winner lasted just two seasons in Cleveland. He was cut by the Browns following the 2015 season, following issues both on and off of the field. Manziel recently made it clear that he didn’t handle getting cut by the Browns very well.
Manziel admitted that he quickly blew through $100,000 at the casino, immediately after getting cut by the Browns. He was not in a very good place at the time and it showed with his behavior.

Manziel had a $100,000 casino credit that he quickly blew through before even realizing what had happened.
“I remember, after I get cut in Cleveland, I learned about casino credit and getting a wire and walking to the table and taking $100K out and being like, ‘All right, start with 10, lose it, another 10, 20,’ and you look up by the end of a weekend, you’re going out and you’re drinking and you just fly through a hundred grand,” he explained.
“No problem, no worries. Chasing, just a tough spot to be in. I remember forgetting about it, going on another trip and going on a run and then getting a call like, ‘Yo, you have 24 hours until you pay this marker off or the people in Las Vegas are going to send a felony conviction out for your (butt) and they’re coming to get you.’”
“And it was like, ‘Oh, we got to get 100 grand to this Cosmo right now or all (expletive) is about to break loose.’”
Manziel remains in decent financial position to this day, but clearly, all was not well with his mindset after he was cut by the Browns.
