Even dating back to Hulk Hogan and Andre the Giant in the 1980s, few professional wrestlers have matched John Cena in achieving mainstream, global success both in and outside the ring.
Cena is on the Mount Rushmore of wrestling legends, and rightfully so. He dominated in the ring for decades, becoming one of the most celebrated “faces” in the sport’s history. Cena has also built a new audience through his acting career, primarily through his well-received work on “Peacemaker.”
Here’s a closer look at John Cena’s career earnings and achievements:
John Cena’s Net Worth and Career WWE Earnings
Celebrity Net Worth values Cena’s net worth at approximately $80 million. Between his endorsements (more on those below) and his busy acting career, though, it might not be long before he approaches $100 million.
He’s come a long way over the last 25 years, having previously disclosed that his base salary was roughly $12,500 in 2002. Accounting for inflation, that’d be roughly $23,600 in 2026.
John Cena’s Notable Endorsements

Booking Agent Info estimates that Cena currently has 20 endorsements, including a longtime deal with Capri Sun. He previously appeared in commercials for Subway and Gillette, and he’s also served as the voice of Honda.
It is unclear how much Cena has earned from the number of times he’s lent his likeness to the “WWE 2K” video game. Interestingly, he also appeared on the “WWE 2K15” soundtrack on a song alongside Wiz Khalifa.
And although Cena’s work with the Make-A-Wish Foundation isn’t necessarily an endorsement, it warrants mention because of how active he’s been with the organization over the years. He’s granted at least 650 wishes, the most in Make-A-Wish history and a Guinness World Record.
Adding to his bottom line, Cena also has over 90 million combined social media followers across his accounts on Facebook (54 million), Instagram (21 million), X (12 million), and TikTok (6 million).
John Cena’s Career Achievements
Cena is widely considered one of the greatest wrestlers in history, winning a record 17 championships between 1999 and his 2025 retirement. He and Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson are arguably the most recognizable and important wrestlers of the 21st century, and understandably so.
Additionally, he won the Heavyweight Championship three times and captured the Royal Rumble twice. He also won four total tag team championships, twice in the World Tag Team Championship and twice in the WWE Tag Team Championship.
Although Cena is not yet in the WWE Hall of Fame, the expectation is that he’ll be elected within the coming years. There are no signs that he’d consider ending his retirement to return even on a part-time basis.
As an actor, Cena won CinemaCon’s 2017 Action Star of the Year, and he’s been nominated for multiple awards for his work in “Peacemaker.” He co-starred with Idris Elba in 2025’s “Heads of State,” which is among five candidates for the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Television Movie.
We also can’t forget Cena’s rap career, with his famous “The Time Is Now” intro song serving as the title track of his 2005 debut album, “You Can’t See Me.” Thankfully, he didn’t adopt a rap moniker, instead opting for his real name and no gimmicks. The next time that Cena has some downtime, perhaps we’ll finally get a sequel album.
