Joe Flacco wasn't afraid to be brutally honest with Shedeur Sanders during their brief time together on the Cleveland Browns.
The Browns started the 2025 season with Flacco as their starter before trading him to the Cincinnati Bengals in early October. That move helped Sanders move up Cleveland's depth chart. Before Flacco was shown the door though, he gave the Colorado product some advice.
During the latest episode of the Netflix show "Quarterback," the camera crew showed Flacco having a chat with Sanders at practice. The former Super Bowl MVP made it clear that he wasn't a huge fan of the rookie wearing a visor.
"Yeah, but if you wear a visor, it's for looks," Flacco said. "You think you look sweet. It's that era. I don't want my kids to wear visors either. They all want visors. I'm like, 'Guys, they're just annoying. They're gonna fog up.' They [expletive] suck, dude. It's all about look. When I was a kid I wanted a visor too, and then I'm like, 'The visors suck. They don't make sense.'"
Flacco continued, "I would let them wear it, but I would tell them, 'You're a quarterback, bro, you're [expletive] wearing a visor? You look like a [expletive] idiot. If you're a quarterback, you can tell when you're trying to look too sweet."

Is Shedeur the 2026 starter for Cleveland?
Sanders completed 56.6% of his passes during his rookie season for 1,400 yards with seven touchdowns and 10 interceptions. As of now, he's competing for the starting job with Deshaun Watson.
“I think Shedeur has come on so strong in the last few weeks that it’s making them think maybe we should see what he can do in training camp before we decide that perhaps Deshaun Watson is QB1,” Mary Kay Cabot of Cleveland.com said.
Earlier this offseason, Sanders said he's focused on getting comfortable in Todd Monken's scheme and "playing with confidence." We'll see if he does just that.
