Say what you want about longtime NFL and MLB play-by-play commentator Joe Buck, but there’s no denying that he’s had an incredible career behind the microphone.

Buck, who turned 57 years old in April 2026, is enshrined in both the Pro Football and National Baseball Hall of Fame museums. He called the Super Bowl six times and the World Series 24 times during his nearly three decades at Fox, and he’ll work ESPN’s first Super Bowl in February 2027.

And although he was incredibly divisive earlier in his career, Buck has since become one of the most well-respected play-by-play voices among players and fans alike. It’s no surprise, then, that he’s reaped the financial benefits.

Joe Buck’s Salary, Net Worth and Endorsements

If Buck wasn’t already looking forward to his fifth season on “Monday Night Football,” then his latest contract likely changed his mind. ABC/ESPN signed him to a six-year contract worth roughly $108 million in September 2026, a move that will keep him at the Worldwide Leader through 2032.

Prior to his recent extension, Celebrity Net Worth valued Buck’s net worth at roughly $45 million. However, the original contract he signed with ESPN in 2022 was worth $75 million over five years.

Buck has worked as a brand ambassador for Collars & Co., and he’s also lent his voice to Budweiser/Bud Light commercials.

Interestingly, he is the only one of the four major NFL play-by-play voices — Al Michaels (Prime Video), Jim Nantz (CBS), and Mike Tirico (NBC) — who has never worked as the lead commentator in a “Madden NFL” game.

Even if you didn’t know Buck’s name when you started watching baseball or football, you’d likely heard his voice before.

He first rose to national prominence in 1994, when he joined Fox Sports and became an NFL play-by-play voice at just 25. He also became the network’s No. 1 baseball voice in 1996 and called his first World Series that year.

Buck replaced the legendary Pat Summerall as Fox’s No. 1 football voice in 2002, teaming up with Cowboys great Troy Aikman and former Bengals star receiver Cris Collinsworth. By 2005, it was just Buck and Aikman, a partnership that has continued at ESPN.

Joe’s father, Jack, is among the most celebrated broadcasters in sports history. The longtime CBS and NBC announcer is enshrined in the Baseball, Pro Football, and Radio Hall of Fame museums after calling 18 Super Bowls and 11 World Series. He also called St. Louis Cardinals games alongside Joe in the 1990s and early 2000s.

Joe served as the Cardinals’ play-by-play announcer for over a decade, though he left then-Fox Sports Midwest following the 2007 season to focus solely on his Fox duties. He worked 24 World Series and 22 All-Star Games during his time at Fox, the most of any play-by-play announcer in network television history.

On the baseball side, Buck primarily worked alongside longtime Cardinals catcher Tim McCarver during his first two decades at Fox. Fittingly, the former All-Star backstop had called games alongside Jack Buck at CBS Sports. Buck then worked with Harold Reynolds and Hall of Fame pitcher John Smoltz following McCarver’s 2013 retirement.

Outside the booth, Buck is married to ESPN reporter and former NFL cheerleader Michelle Beisner-Buck. The couple married in 2014 and had twin boys in 2018. Buck also has two daughters with whom he shares with ex-wife Ann Archambault Buck.
