The Dallas Cowboys head to Lambeau Field to play the Green Bay Packers on Sunday Night Football. Jerry Jones may hope to avoid replicating a prior trip to Wisconsin.
During his weekly radio interview on 105.3 The Fan, Jones was asked to reflect on a rich history between the Cowboys and Packers. The owner and general manager responded by sharing a wild moment involving a Green Bay fan.
Jones recalled sitting in a car with several of his young grandchildren after a Dallas victory at Green Bay around 25 years ago. A disgruntled Packers fan then created a memory he and his family have never forgotten, no matter how much they may like to.
“As we left the stadium, we were at a long, big car. And I saw this lady headed toward the car,” Jones said. “She comes up beside the car running. She was so upset as a Green Bay fan, and she was pretty hefty. And she turns around and pulls it all down and just plants it right up against the window. Everybody inside was in awe and couldn’t believe it. And then her skin stuck to the window; it was so cold. When she pulled away, there was just a big print sitting there on the side of that car.
“There were about 10 or 11 of us in the car, and we can still see it today.”

The Cowboys and Packers will add another chapter to their storied feud this Sunday night.
The decorated NFL franchises have met nine times in the playoffs, most recently in the Wild Card Round two years ago. NBC will hope for a regular-season showdown as exciting as last September’s 40-40 tie on Sunday Night Football.
Yet the network may have expected a more marquee clash. The Packers improved to 3-2 after consecutive wins over teams missing their starting quarterback, and the Cowboys are 2-3 after a disappointing Thursday Night Football loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
“They’re, I think, a better team than their record,” Jones said of the Packers. “And we’ve got to play at the level that we can have a lot of people say we’re better than our record.”
