When the Baltimore Ravens sent star pass rusher Maxx Crosby back to the Las Vegas Raiders and nixed their trade, it opened the door for other interested teams to make a run at him. No one has yet, but Cowboys owner Jerry Jones has been asked about it.
Speaking to reporters at the NFL owners meeting in Arizona, Jones addressed the possibility of making a move for Crosby sometime this year. Jones quickly stated that he doesn't expect the team to do such a thing, but he left the door open just a crack by asserting that it is "possible."
“I don’t anticipate, standing here right now, revisiting that. I don’t anticipate it," Jones said. “Is it possible? Yes.”
Crosby and the Cowboys
Of course, it's been reported for weeks that the Cowboys are interested in Crosby ever since the Ravens-Raiders trade fell through. As far back as early-March it was being reported that the Cowboys are "interested."
But being interested and actively pursuing something are completely different concepts. The Ravens were seemingly the only team willing to trade two first-round picks to bring Crosby into the fold and the Raiders don't seem keen on dropping their asking price just because things fell apart there.

There's also the matter of the Cowboys previously having a similar pass rusher in Micah Parsons and not being able to make things work with him. The Cowboys aren't about to give up all of that draft compensation they got from the Packers just to acquire an older version of basically the exact player they traded less than a year ago.
If the Cowboys do make some kind of deal happen it will only come when they're suddenly desperate or when the Raiders drop that asking price.
