Jerry Jones understands the Dallas Cowboys fan base is frustrated.
The Cowboys dropped to 2-3 on the season last Thursday night, losing at home to an 0-4 Tampa Bay Buccaneers team. Following the game, a stadium third-party contractor yelled “embarrassing” at Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott.
“When he said it, I just happened to look at him, and at that point, he looked away, didn’t look, and then when I turned my head back, he said something else,” Prescott said after the game. “That’s the part that, as a man or as a person, feel free to speak your mind, speak it, but just don’t cower away from the reaction you’re going to get.
“If you’re saying it’s embarrassing, say it’s embarrassing. If you’re saying it to me, say it to me. Don’t go back on it.”
But while some have criticized the stadium worker, Jerry Jones is coming to his defense.

Jerry Jones is making it clear that, stadium worker or not, the man appeared to be a genuine fan of the Dallas Cowboys.
And the owner of the Dallas Cowboys is never going to tell a fan of his team how they should act when it comes to behavior after a win or loss.
Cowboys owner defends the team’s fan base
Jones appeared on 105.3 The Fan on Tuesday morning and defended the behavior of the stadium contractor.
“The driver in question was not an employee but fans can express themselves, and should express themselves,” Jone said on @1053thefan. “Whether he was our employee or not, he was a fan, it sounds like. So I’m for our fans expressing themselves.”
The Cowboys will look to get back on track Sunday night, taking on the Packers at 8:20 p.m. E.T.
It’ll air on NBC.
