The Indianapolis Colts have not had an ideal start to the season.
Not only is the team 0-2, but they also saw one of their most important weapons go down with a serious injury. Wide receiver Alec Pierce, who just received a massive extension this offseason, went down in Week 2 and will miss several weeks at least.
Now, the Colts are rather thin at wide receiver. Veteran Keenan Allen was added, but he could be facing a suspension for an off-field incident. This means Josh Downs, Darius Slayton, and Laquon Treadwell could soon be the team’s starting receivers.
Luckily, there are some interesting receivers who seem to be on the trade block.
Colts Named Realistic Fit for Jerry Jeudy

Jerry Jeudy has been a popular trade target for months now. The Browns reloaded their receiver room with some talented rookies this offseason, and Jeudy has fallen out of favor.
The veteran only has two catches for 26 yards in the team’s first two games. Even if Jeudy were getting targets, he’s still having to deal with some of the worst quarterback play in the league.
Kristopher Knox of Bleacher Report recently named landing spots for the top trade targets, and Knox thinks Jeudy fits perfectly in Indianapolis.
“The 2024 Pro Bowler spent his first two seasons in Cleveland as the team’s No. 1 receiver, but it’s clear that he’s sliding down the hierarchy,” Knox said. “Jeudy has been a quality receiver in the past, and his 2026 base salary of $1.5 million should appeal to contenders in need of receiver help.”
Jeudy wouldn’t be a pure rental either, as he’s under contract in 2027.
This could be an ideal situation for Jeudy and the Colts. The Colts desperately need another proven receiver, and Jeudy desperately needs to get out of Cleveland and prove he can still contribute.
In 2025, Jeudy played in 16 games and caught 50 passes for 602 yards and two touchdowns. In 2024, however, Jeudy had his best season, catching 90 passes for 1,229 yards and four touchdowns. Jeudy made his first-and-only Pro Bowl after that season.
The Browns probably wouldn’t demand much in return for Jeudy, either. It’s clear he’s not in the team’s long-term plans, so why not get what you can for him now?
