The Tennessee Titans have many expiring contracts following the conclusion of this upcoming season. While the Titans will let many players walk, they could find themselves in a position to offer an extension to some of the players who are on the final year of their deal.
Jermaine Johnson II, EDGE

After trading T'Vondre Sweat for Jermaine Johnson II during the offseason, the Titans face a tough contract decision next offseason. The Titans will have to let Johnson II walk or extend him before it gets to that point.
While he may even have an up-and-down season, it would be questionable for the Titans to avoid extending him, as this means that they traded a player who finished ranked as the No. 5 defensive tackle in 2025 based on grades and production, according to PFF.
This means the Titans had a lot of trust in what Johnson II could bring to this team, which leaves them with almost no choice but to extend Johnson II.
Tony Adams, Safety

Tony Adams is entering his first season with the Titans and is set to compete for the starting job against Amani Hooker, who is fresh off his worst season with the franchise thus far. Even if Adams serves as a rotational safety this season, it is safe to say that his value is undeniable, and the depth at the safety position would be groundbreaking compared to what the Titans are used to.
Adams is an expiring contract, and while he was a great one-year addition, it seems reasonable that the Titans could be looking at extending him for a solid rate to keep their safety room intact for at least one more season.
Cordell Volson, Offensive Guard
The Titans have a lot of trust in Cordell Volson, who is expected to be the starting right guard for the franchise this season, after being signed during free agency. While the Titans only signed him for one season, it remains unknown if they will be able to move on from Volson entirely after the first season, as he could be both a solid depth piece and a gap starter for the Titans.
Volson could be the biggest breakout on the Titans' offense, and ahead of the season it seems reasonable to believe an extension could be worthwhile.
