Former ESPN star Jemele Hill is set to partner up with Colin Kaepernick later this fall.
The former ESPN star and the former NFL quarterback, who last played in the league in 2016, will be in conversation at The Atlantic Festival in September. The Atlantic announced the big news on Wednesday. Hill and Kaepernick will team up for a special conversation at the festival, which runs from Sept. 17 through Sept. 19.
"Since 1857, The Atlantic has been a destination for thoughtful analysis and rigorous reporting on the most consequential ideas of our time. The Atlantic Festival brings that spirit to life onstage, over three days of news-making conversations, exclusive screenings, performances, intimate book talks, live podcast recordings, and interactive experiences at cultural venues throughout the city. The Atlantic Festival is where politics meets culture, where technology meets human ingenuity, and where debate can sharpen understanding. Prepare to meet great minds who don’t think alike," The Atlantic announced.

Unsurprisingly, there were some critics of the announcement.
"So predictable," one shared.
"Seriously? Who's asking for this?" one fan added.
"Well, I know I won't be listening," another shared.
Hill, though, is clapping back at the critics.

Hill made it clear that she's very proud of Kaepernick and looks forward to the conversation.
"Very proud to sit in conversation with Kaep. Over the years, a lot of people have a lot to say about him. Now, it’s his turn," she wrote.
