Jemele Hill is putting the Eagles on blast.
The Eagles announced on Monday morning that Jalen Hurts is likely out for the rest of the year, due to a blood clots situation. Hurts will be put on blood thinners and will be unable to participate in football activities.
“Over the last few days, Jalen Hurts has received comprehensive medical evaluations by physician experts. In the interest of transparency, we are providing additional information on the diagnosis and treatment plan related to his condition. Jalen was initially diagnosed by specialists in London with a left calf superficial vein thrombosis. After further testing and monitoring, the current diagnosis is a deep vein thrombosis, as well as bilateral pulmonary emboli. He is clinically stable and has no significant functional limitations. His treatment should only involve anticoagulation (i.e. ‘blood thinners’). During this time, he will not be allowed to participate in any contact activities, including football,” they announced.
“Jalen’s prognosis is very good, and we expect a full recovery. We anticipate that he will have the opportunity to resume contact football activities when off the blood thinners. In the meantime, he will remain active around the team and continue to condition. More importantly, we anticipate that he will have no long-term effects. We are thinking of Jalen and looking forward to a strong recovery.”
But why was Hurts even allowed to play in London?

That’s what NFL fans would like to know – Hill included.
The former ESPN personality called out the Eagles and their medical staff in a post on X, formerly known as Twitter, on Monday morning.
NFL insider Tom Pelissero reported: “How committed is Jalen Hurts to football? After initially being diagnosed with a superficial blood clot in London, doctors told him not to sleep as a precaution, so he had been awake for roughly 36 hours when he started against the Jaguars, throwing for 220 yards and a TD.”
Hill put the Eagles on blast for letting him play in the first place.
“Serious question: Why even let him play?” she wrote.
The Eagles will have a lot of questions to answer about Hurts and his medical situation moving forward.
Philadelphia, 2-4 on the year, will host the 2-4 Cowboys on “Monday Night Football” next week.
