The Tennessee Titanscontinue to find their rhythm when it comes to the players that are returning and building around them. The defense is being built around long-term defensive lineman Jeffrey Simmons, who has caught the attention of many people this offseason. Simmons has had some ups and downs this offseason, but his continued success throughout the year had the NFL Network curious about his offseason mindset.
Here is what Simmons had to say about his mindset.
Jeffery Simmons Breaks Down His Offseason Mindset

"I first started off working on the offseason right after the season. Not going to the playoffs sucks. It's one of those things where if you don't go to the playoffs it's like, 'Do I go out and party? Do I start eating bad? Do I start drinking?' My mindset on things is don't get comfortable. Once I get comfortable and once I say I got it, it's time for me to hang it up. That's been my mindset going into this offseason, even at the pro bowl I am hitting my nutritionists up, 'Can we find a chef out in San Fran to do my meals?' and things of that nature, so it's one of them things for me man. Attack the offseason like we just won a Super Bowl. I never felt what it means to win a Super Bowl, but I want to get that feeling, so my mindset is attack the offseason, stick to my nutrition, stick to my diet, and just consistency. High consistency not with just the game of football, but with my day to day life," Simmons said when speaking with the reporters on the NFL Network.

Simmons is going to be one of the players who is closely monitored throughout the season, given the offseason commitments he has made. This has been a common trend for the players on this roster, which is a bit of a breath of fresh air, as this wasn't a common occurrence for players under the leadership of Brian Callahan.
If Simmons and the rest of the team can lock in the way that he claimed he has been, then this team will have the chance to win some major games this season.
