Jaylen Brown is locked in a highly publicized feud with Stephen A. Smith and Kendrick Perkins. They have exchanged back-and-forth comments on social media and video rants. The Boston Celtics star's father chimed in and issued a warning to the ESPN analysts.
Sirius XM recently hosted Marselles Brown, and he didn't mince words. He started with some choice words for Perkins.
"My son is very educated enough to know what to say and what not to say, what's off limits," Marselles Brown said. "And Big Perk, you wrong for jumping against your teammate. ... Watch your mouth, boy.
The disgruntled father praised his son for how he has been handling this entire situation. According to Marselles Brown, he wouldn't have been so cordial if he were in his son's place.
The 58-year-old went on to address Smith.
"I'm coming to see you, Stephen A.," Marselles Brown said. "I called you a couple times, Stephen A., and you didn't answer. But it's OK. I just wanted to talk about it man-to-man.
"What's your problems? Why are you attacking him?"
The feud started when the Celtics All-Star called Smith out for allegedly peddling fake narratives and using clickbait on his show. Smith fired back by criticizing him for Brown calling this past season his "favorite year." Jaylen Brown retaliated by calling ESPN “unethical."
Perkins joined in by claiming to have received text messages from "former Celtics players." They apparently said Jaylen was "trippin" and lacked accountability regarding his Twitch rants.
Marselles Brown has now come out to defend his son, and he isn't backing down one bit.
