New York Giants quarterback Jaxson Dart was nominated for Offensive Rookie of the Year, and yet, it was his mother who stole the spotlight during the 15th annual "NFL Honors."
Dart had a very productive rookie year with the G-Men, completing 63.7% of his passes for 2,272 yards with 15 touchdowns and five interceptions. The Ole Miss product also had 487 yards and nine touchdowns on the ground.
Even though Carolina Panthers wide receiver Tetairoa McMillan won Offensive Rookie of the Year, all five finalists received a heartfelt message from someone close to them. Dart's mother, Kara, turned plenty of heads with her speech.
"Jaxson has always been physically talented, but what makes him special isn't what's necessarily recorded on a stat sheet," Kara said. "Jaxson is the definition of a true competitor. His will for greatness is unique and truly contagious. He's able to connect and find commonality within a locker room, and his profound love for his family and teammates is unparralled. Jaxson balances unwavering confident and sincere humility. Jaxson, I love you, I'm so proud of you and I can't wait to see what your future holds."
Fans didn't just rave about Kara Dart's speech, they complimented her appearance at the "NFL Honors" ceremony.
"Wow Jaxson Dart’s mom is jacked," one fan wrote on social media.
"Side note: Jaxon Dart’s mother looks stunning," a second fan commented.
"She definitely won the award for the best speech out of that group," another fan said.
Dart's mother has gone viral before.
Before the Giants selected Dart with the 25th pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, he gave his mother credit for teaching him how to have style.
“My mom’s into it, and she’s done a great job of letting me choose and find things that I like and just giving me options,” Dart told GQ Sports. “At the same time, it’s just something that I’ve come to really love and to express myself in different ways.”
There's no question Dart's pregame outfits turned heads during the 2025 season, but it was really his play that did the talking.
We can't wait to see what Dart has in store for the 2026 season.
