Jaxson Dart and the New York Giants kicked off their 2026 season in style, defeating the Dallas Cowboys 28-20 on “Sunday Night Football.”
Dart, the 25th pick from last year’s draft, completed 23 of 29 pass attempts for 230 yards with three touchdowns and no turnovers. The Ole Miss product also had 54 yards on the ground against the Cowboys.
“For him to have all this on his plate and to execute the way he did, to me, was just tremendous and very impressive,” Giants coach Harbaugh said. “It was a great performance by Jaxson.”

Dart’s girlfriend, Marissa Ayers, was at MetLife Stadium this past weekend to watch the G-Men take care of business against “America’s Team.”
Ayers and Dart hard-launched their romance during the 2025 season. They’ve been each other’s biggest supporters over the past year.
“She’s been amazing. I mean, I can’t say good enough things about her,” Dart told PEOPLE. “Things have come around so fast between us. It’s really cool when you have two people who are independent what they do, but at the same time… are each other’s biggest cheerleaders.”
Following the Giants’ win, Ayers shared a few photos of her Week 1 outfit along with the caption: “my boy’s bringing six-y back.”
Another challenge awaits for Jaxson Dart.
There’s no question Dart and the Giants aced their first test in the Harbaugh era. Next up is a showdown with the Los Angeles Rams on “Monday Night Football.”
If the Giants are going to improve to 2-0, they’ll need to continue playing a physical brand of offense. Not only did they have 165 rushing yards in Week 1, they held onto the football for over 36 minutes.
Kickoff for the Giants-Rams game is at 8:15 p.m. ET on ESPN.
