Jason Kelce was forced to apologize on Monday night.
The Philadelphia Eagles legend broke the golden rule of sports broadcasting. You’re never supposed to say “we.” You’re supposed to be objective and unbiased. However, Kelce, who spent his entire NFL career with the Eagles, let one slip on Monday evening.
Kelce referred to the Eagles as “we” during the 27-7 loss to the Bears on Monday night in Chicago.
“I’m looking at it’s 10-7. I feel pretty good going in half. We played really well offensively. We had opportunities. We shot ourselves in the foot, but we’ve moved the ball. We’ve ran the ball well,” Kelce said at halftime. “Jalen Hurts is throwing the ball well. I think, you know, them getting the ball coming out of half, I got a feeling they got a lot of momentum going in there.”
Pat McAfee pointed it out: “A lot of “we” talk out of Jason for Philly.”
Kelce was quick to apologize.
“Sorry. Sorry,” Kelce said.

Kelce won’t apologize for his love of Philly, though
The Eagles legend has maintained his love for the organization in retirement.
“Philadelphia has been a blessing for me to come here. I think I fit in really well,” Kelce said back in 2023, “not just with the organization and the team, but also with the fan base. I’m very grateful to have been able to play here and insert myself and my family into Philadelphia and fully call myself a Philadelphian here. It’s an honor.”
The Eagles fell to the Bears, 27-7, on Monday evening, as they dropped to 2-1 on the season.
Philadelphia will host the Rams on Sunday at 1 p.m. E.T.
