Jalen Hurts and A.J. Brown appeared to put past issues aside at the joint Philadelphia Eagles, New England Patriots practice on Thursday.
The Eagles quarterback and the Patriots wide receiver played together in Philadelphia for multiple seasons. However, things started to go south in 2025. Brown ultimately got his way, being traded from the Eagles to the Patriots.
Things could have been awkward this week, as the Patriots and Eagles held joint practices ahead of the 2026 NFL regular season. But, on Thursday, they appeared to clear the air, hugging and dapping up after practice.
Brown had previously said that he hadn’t talked with Hurts much since getting traded.
“I’m here now,” Brown said, per Sports Radio 94 WIP. “I’m not going backwards.”
“[I]t’s not about no closure or anything. It’s love,” Brown added. “I won a Super Bowl ring with them. It’ll always be love no matter how anyone feels. I love Philly and I will always love Philly. But I’m here now. And this is where my feet are and that’s what I’m focused on.”

“We can now move forward, if my 🐐 cool we good,” one fan added.
“My problem has nothing to do with the relationship of two grown men. MY ISSUE, is he CLEARLY punted the season last year and flat out quit in that playoff game. That’s something I’ll never get over,” one fan added.
“So glad this is the end of the AJ/Jalen reporting. So over it. Also feel like the media has a soft post for AJ still. He balled out. Totally fair to point out. But this does indicate he straight up quit on a team that should have had SB aspirations,” one fan added.
It’s good to see that both are showing good sportsmanship ahead of the 2026 NFL regular season.
