The Jacksonville Jaguars haven't even gotten out of the first quarter of their first preseason action against the New Orleans Saints, and their already razor-thin offensive line has taken another hit. Tackle Chuma Edoga left the game early in the first quarter with an undisclosed injury, further thinning out the offensive line. Tackle Geron Christian has slotted in at right tackle to replace him.
Jacksonville has just under $8 million in cap space; there has to be a sense of urgency to add to this offensive line that already has questions surrounding Walker Little, Ezra Cleveland, Cole Van Lanen, and Patrick Mekari.
As for this game against the Saints, the Jaguars have immediately felt the hits on the offensive line as the Saints' pass rushers have gotten home and affected both Nick Mullens and Carter Bryant early. It will be interesting to see if any of these guys will step up and take advantage of the continuous shuffling along those five spots up front.
