It might be getting lost in all of the other impressive performances of Week 1, but the Jacksonville Jaguars thoroughly dominated the Cleveland Browns this past weekend, winning 34-10 in a game that was never close. But as Week 2 approaches, the team won’t be getting a bigger piece of the NFL viewership.
The Jaguars will be taking on the Denver Broncos this coming weekend in one of the marquee matchups of the weekend. It’s one of only three games this weekend that features two playoff teams from last season (the others are Lions-Bills and Steelers-Patriots).
Yet despite playing in the late-afternoon window, ProFootballTalk noted that the game on CBS is set to be region-locked while the marquee game of the window is going to be the Washington Commanders versus the Dallas Cowboys.

Do the Jaguars deserve more love?
The Jaguars went 13-4 last season in Liam Coen’s first year at the helm. Star QB Trevor Lawrence looked like the franchise quarterback everyone expected him to be five years ago, completing 18 of 23 passes for 245 yards and four touchdowns in that win over the Browns.
Last year the team finished with a top-10 scoring offense and a top-10 scoring defense.
Despite how dominant they were for large stretches of the season, the Jaguars will only be featured in primetime three times this season and only once before December.

In fact, Jaguars fans are only going to see their team play at Everbank Stadium one more time before November since two of their next three home games are going to be international games in London.
If the Jaguars wind up emerging as one of the league’s better teams again this year, the NFL might seriously come to regret limiting how much fans will even be able to see them in the first half of the 2026 season.
