Jadarian Price was drafted in the first round to be an immediate difference-maker for the Seahawks. The Notre Dame star was awesome in college, and the Seahawks needed him to be awesome in the NFL after the team lost Kenneth Walker III.
So far, though, Price has had a miserable rookie season. The rookie didn’t get much usage in Week 1, splitting carries with George Holani. Then, in Week 2, Price had another inconsistent showing and lost a fumble.
In Week 3, Price lost another fumble and ended up getting benched for several possessions. Then, we learned that the running back was dealing with an upper-body injury, but it wasn’t believed to be serious.
Earlier this week, Price was ruled out for Week 4, which was surprising, but not that concerning. Then, out of seemingly nowhere, Price was added to injured reserve. Now, the rookie will be out for at least the next four games.
Price wasn’t all that productive over his first few games, but his loss is still massive. Neither Holani nor Emanuel Wilson can be relied upon, and Zach Charbonnet still isn’t ready to return.
So where do the Seahawks go from here?
Running Back Position Is Officially a Massive Concern

Even with Price, the Seahawks’ rushing attack ranked near the bottom of the league. So far this season, the team is only averaging just over 100 rushing yards per game.
For reference, in 2025, the Seahawks were 11th in rushing yards per game, as the team averaged 123.3. Kenneth Walker III was a weapon for the Seahawks, especially in the postseason.
I’m not saying the Seahawks can’t win without an elite ground game, but it certainly would help. Now, the team will have to rely more on the defense and Sam Darnold.
The hope is that Charbonnet can return for Week 5 and at least be serviceable. Right now, there’s no reason for any team to fear the Seahawks’ ground game, so maybe Charbonnet can at least bring that back.
Possible Trade?

There will probably be plenty of running backs available on the trade market if the Seahawks feel like they need to go that route.
Kenny Gainwell and Bucky Irving of the Buccaneers and Tony Pollard of the Titans are some running backs who have been floated in trade rumors recently. Irving, in particular, would be an intriguing addition.
It’s probably more likely that the team will simply wait to see what the offense looks like with Charbonnet.
