Milwaukee Brewers outfielder Jackson Chourio is one swing away from joining an exclusive group in National League history after another power surge at the plate.
OptaSTATS highlighted Sunday that Chourio needs one more home run to become just the fourth National League player to record at least 60 career home runs, 50 stolen bases and 200 RBIs before turning 23 years old. If he reaches the milestone, he will join Orlando Cepeda, Cesar Cedeño and Andruw Jones.
Chourio moved within one homer of the mark after hitting four home runs during the Brewers' recent homestand, including a leadoff blast Sunday against the Minnesota Twins.
The 22-year-old has continued building one of baseball's brightest young résumés. Through 84 games this season, Chourio is batting .275 with 17 home runs, 47 RBIs and 10 stolen bases. His career totals now stand at 59 home runs, 53 stolen bases and 204 RBIs.
Because Chourio turned 22 in March, he has nearly a full year to achieve the milestone before his 23rd birthday. His durability has also been a positive development after recovering from a left hamstring strain that interrupted part of last season.

Chourio's production has helped fuel another dominant season for Milwaukee. The Brewers entered Monday with a 74-44 record, comfortably leading the National League Central by 5.5 games over the Chicago Cubs while owning the best record in the majors.
Milwaukee now heads west for a road trip beginning with the San Diego Padres before visiting the Los Angeles Dodgers. Chourio will have his next opportunity to hit the historic 60th home run of his career during that stretch.
