New Jersey Devils star Jack Hughes has apparently updated his relationship with pop singer Tate McRae.
Hughes, the No. 1 overall pick from the 2019 NHL Draft, helped lift the United States to a 2-1 victory over Canada in the Olympic final last month. Although there was plenty of heavy lifting done by U.S. goalie Connor Hellebuyck, it was Hughes who scored the game-winning goal in overtime
Prior to leading Team USA to a gold medal in the 2026 Olympics, there were rumors that Hughes and McRae were seeing each other. However, Entertainment Tonight reported that McRae was "not looking for something super serious" at this time.
"They have a lot of the same friends and started hanging out that way," a source told Entertainment Tonight. "He has gone to her shows, and she likes supporting him at games too."
Judging by the latest report, Hughes and McRae's relationship has developed over the past few months.

Us Weekly is reporting that Hughes and McRae are "exclusively dating" at this time.
"Tate and Jack are dating," a source told Us Weekly. "They started casually seeing each other late last year, so it’s still new, but they are exclusively seeing each other."
Who is Tate McRae?
McRae, who was born in Canada, released her debut studio album in 2022. It wasn't until her second album, "Think Later," that she rose up the ranks. Her single "Greedy" became a viral sensation and bestseller in 2024.
In 2025, McRae released her third studio album. That led to her topping the US Billboard 200. Additionally, she earned a Grammy nomination for her soundtrack single "Just Keep Watching."
Suffice to say, McRae is doing just fine for herself.
