The Bloodline has been one of WWE's most prominent family-based factions, but the relationships between its members can be confusing. Solo Sikoa and Roman Reigns are genuinely related outside the ring, with their connection coming through the wider Anoaʻi-Fatu wrestling dynasty.

Roman Reigns, whose real name is Joe Anoaʻi, is the son of WWE Hall of Famer Sika Anoaʻi. Solo Sikoa, meanwhile, is Joseph Fatu, the son of WWE Hall of Famer Rikishi. "The Samoan Stinker" and "the OTC" are first cousins, which makes Reigns and Sikoa first cousins once removed genealogically.

The relationship is often simplified on WWE television by referring to Reigns and Sikoa as cousins. In traditional Samoan family terms, however, Reigns is also regarded as an uncle figure to Solo Sikoa, something that members of the family have explained publicly.

The connection between the two is part of a much larger wrestling family that includes several generations of performers.

Solo Sikoa is also the younger brother of Jimmy Uso and Jey Uso. The three are Rikishi's sons, with Jimmy and Jey being twins.

That means The Usos and Sikoa are brothers outside WWE as well as relatives to Reigns. The family connection has been a significant part of how WWE has presented the group of wrestlers over the years.

Jacob Fatu is another member of the same extended family. He is the son of Sam Fatu, better known as the Tonga Kid, who is Rikishi's twin brother. As a result, Jacob Fatu is Sikoa's first cousin.

Fatu is also part of the broader Bloodline family on screen, further connecting him to Reigns, Sikoa and The Usos.

That extensive family tree is a major reason The Bloodline has felt different from a typical WWE faction. Many of its central figures are connected long before they ever shared a WWE storyline.

For Sikoa, his connection to Reigns and The Usos is therefore much more than part of a wrestling angle. The family ties existed long before WWE turned them into one of the company's biggest stories.
