Is Messi Playing Against Algeria?
Messi is expected to play tonight's game although there were concerns about his availability after he picked up a minor left hamstring injury during his final MLS match for Inter Miami.
Inter Miami staff later confirmed the issue was muscle fatigue and a mild hamstring overload caused rather than a severe tear.
To ensure he was completely fit for the World Cup, Argentina's medical and coaching staff have taken careful measures with his workload.
Messi did not start in Argentina's final warm-up friendly against Iceland, but he came off the bench in the 70th minute and even scored a penalty to seal a 3-0 victory.

Manager Lionel Scaloni also backed Messi’s fitness and stated that the 38-year-old remains as important as ever to the national team.
“Everyone wants to see Messi inside the field, playing. He excited everyone, not just Argentines,"said the Argentine.
"From my part, it'll always be like that. I don't see anything negative. He's been in different conditions and has always been here. He's always been monumental for us, and now he will be even more. I see him well” Scaloni added.
