Caitlin Clark has been one of the best players in the WNBA today. Proof of that is the three Player of the Week honors and one Player of the Month recognition she has received so far this season.
The 24-year-old guard is averaging 21.5 points, 4.0 rebounds and 8.0 assists per game this campaign. She's third in the WNBA in scoring and second in assists, highlighting how productive and impactful she has been for Indiana.
With Clark and Kelsey Mitchell leading the way, the Fever boast a 19-11 record, good for fifth in the WNBA standings.
Amid Clark's remarkable season, there have naturally been talks about whether she should be in the MVP conversation.

Recently, TV network Ion didn't have Clark among its MVP candidates. Popular sports network ESPN, however, has a different opinion.
ESPN listed Clark among its "top contenders" for the MVP, although Las Vegas Aces star A'ja Wilson remains the favorite.
"Clark has statistically been the most well-rounded guard this season. Her 21.5 points per game rank No. 3 and 8.0 assists rank No. 2 in the league. Clark's 4.0 rebounds is No. 9 among guards who have played at least 20 games," Kareem Copeland of ESPN wrote in the report.
"Last week, she became the fifth player in league history with a 25-point triple-double on 50% shooting and the first in franchise history with three consecutive games of 25-plus points and five-plus assists. At the helm of the highest-scoring offense in the league, Clark and the Fever have a WNBA record 14 games of 100-plus points."
Other contenders on the list include Minnesota Lynx guard Olivia Miles, Dallas Wings guard Paige Bueckers and New York Liberty forward Breanna Stewart.
For what it's worth, it's hard to deny Clark's case as an MVP contender. While some would argue that Mitchell is the Fever's best player and is more deserving, the former Iowa Hawkeyes star is simply doing a lot more for Indiana beyond scoring.
If Clark is able to maintain her current production while leading the Fever to a top-three finish, it wouldn't be surprising to see her become a serious threat to Wilson for the MVP award.
