With the NFL trade deadline set for Nov. 10, the Indianapolis Colts have revealed they’re open for business.
Earlier this week, the Colts fired general manager Chris Ballard in a move that sent shockwaves through the organization. Although there’s still time for Shane Steichen to turn this season around, his roster might lose some serious firepower over the next few weeks.
According to NFL insider Tom Pelissero, the Colts don’t consider any of their stars to be “off limits” at this point in time. That means we could see DeForest Buckner, Quenton Nelson and Jonathan Taylor in trade talks.
ESPN’s Stephen Holder reported earlier this week that multiple teams would be open to trading for Taylor, who has 492 rushing yards, 163 receiving yards and seven touchdowns in six games this season.
Buckner and Nelson are on expiring contracts so it would make sense for the Colts to move on from them. Taylor, on the other hand, has a deal that runs through the 2028 season.

A Jonathan Taylor trade could shake up the league.
NFL insider Ian Rapoport believes there’s a chance the Colts receive a first-round pick in return for Taylor.
“You know the goal. They don’t have a No. 1 pick because of [the] Sauce [Gardner trade]. You know that’s what they’re going to try to get back,” Rapoport said. “If they have the kind of market that players never have during the season, maybe they can get it. Maybe they get a No. 1 pick and give something back.”
The New York Giants, Minnesota Vikings and Seattle Seahawks have been mentioned as suitors for Taylor.
If Taylor gets dealt to a Super Bowl contender, he could potentially tip the scale in his new team’s favor.
