Raven Johnson has continuously shown her support for former collegiate teammate Madina Okot.
On Saturday, the Atlanta Dream rookie posted several photos on her Instagram account featuring some of her best moments in the current WNBA season.
The four-photo carousel post was shared without a caption, but she received many positive reactions, including one from her former South Carolina teammate. Johnson had just two words for Okot.
“Love you ♥️,” Johnson wrote in the comments section.
Okot and Johnson played together at South Carolina for a year before both were drafted to the league this year as the 10th and 13th picks, respectively.
The duo helped the Gamecocks reach the national championship game, but ultimately fell to UCLA, 79-51.
South Carolina finished the season with a 36-3 record, which capped another outstanding run for the Gamecocks.
Okot averaged a double-double in her last year in college with 12.8 points and 10.6 rebounds, while Johnson racked up 9.9 points, 6.7 rebounds and 5.1 assists.
These days, Okot and Johnson have emerged as effective rotation players for their respective WNBA teams. Both are coming off the bench, with the former racking up 5.4 points and 3.3 rebounds in 39 games for the Dream.
Meanwhile, Johnson is averaging 3.1 points, 1.7 rebounds and 1.2 assists in 35 games for the Fever.
Their teams currently have the same record at 26-14, with four games remaining in the regular season. However, the Dream hold the tie-breaker over the Fever, lifting them to fourth in the standings.
Indiana and Atlanta still have a chance to finish as high as the No. 2 seed heading into the playoffs. Both teams are only three games behind the current No. 2 seed, the Golden State Valkyries.
The Dream will resume their season on Sept. 17 against the Connecticut Sun at home, while the Fever will visit the Toronto Tempo on Sept. 18 at the Coca-Cola Coliseum.
