Indiana Fever star Kelsey Mitchell is set to have an eventful offseason. After a career year that saw her average a career-best 24.7 points per game and set a new WNBA record for the most points in a season (1,086), she is now set to enter unrestricted free agency.
Mitchell said in her exit interviews with the Fever that she plans to be “selfish” in free agency and make a decision on what’s best for her. She also said that “good chemistry on and off the floor” will factor into her decision.
Mitchell has played for the Fever since being drafted second overall in 2018. This offseason will be the first time she will get to experience being an unrestricted free agent.
As Mitchell waits for free agency to officially begin, however, she is keeping herself busy with activities outside the WNBA and away from the Fever. On Monday, she announced that sign-ups for her KelzHoop camp will open on Tuesday at Woodlawn Rec Center in Cincinnati.

“KelzHoop takes being from the city of Cincinnati very serious. All I set to achieve means giving back to future generations. So, that’s what I’ll show up and do! CALLING out all of the youth for the Fall Season,” Mitchell wrote, while sharing the details about her camp signups.
“Bring your child: to development, to learn, to build relationships, and to bond over the GAME we all love!”
According to Mitchell, her camp is open to preschoolers aged 3 to 5, as well as children in kindergarten through fifth grade.
Details about the exact date and location of the camp have yet to be revealed. Last year, the Fever star held her camp at her former high school, Princeton High School, in November.
Mitchell has always tried to give back to her hometown of Cincinnati after every season with her basketball camp and other initiatives. Even with a busy offseason ahead, it’s clear that she has not forgotten her commitment to the city.
