The Indiana Fever’s WNBA playoff run ended in the first round after falling to the Las Vegas Aces, 2-1. Caitlin Clark and company couldn’t contain A’ja Wilson and the Aces in the do-or-die Game 3, with Las Vegas closing out the series with a 94-83 victory.
Clark didn’t have the best performance in the final game of the series, recording 18 points on 6-of-18 shooting. She also dished out only four assists in the loss, although she did step up defensively with two steals and four blocks.
Despite the Fever’s disappointing early playoff exit, though, Clark didn’t let the results bother her. In fact, just a couple of days after their loss, the Fever All-Star went back to Iowa City for the Iowa Hawkeyes’ college football showdown with the Ohio State Buckeyes.
Clark served as the celebrity guest picker for ESPN’s “College GameDay” broadcast. She also watched the game and shared the moment with kids from Stead Family Children’s Hospital.

The 24-year-old playmaker clearly enjoyed her time away from the court and the Fever, as evidenced by her post on social media.
“Thanks for having me @collegegameday a pretty special weekend in IC,” Clark wrote, along with several photos of herself from the ESPN broadcast.
Clark missed the Fever’s exit interviews on the same day due to her trip to Iowa City. Regardless, that didn’t stop her from having an incredible day.
It will be interesting to see what Clark does next, especially as the Fever go back to the drawing board to figure out how to build a title contender.
