Monique Billings had a solid first season with the Indiana Fever. The 6-foot-4 WNBA forward averaged 6.5 points, 4.8 rebounds and 1.0 assists across 43 games. She was also efficient from the field, shooting a career-high 51.6%.
However, the Fever failed to move past the first round of the playoffs, losing to the Las Vegas Aces. Billings averaged just 9.7 minutes per game in the playoffs, down from 18.7 minutes per game in the regular season.
Billings started her WNBA career with the Atlanta Dream, which selected her in the second round of the 2018 draft. She spent her first six seasons with the Dream.
Apart from the Fever, Billings has also had stints with the Dallas Wings, Phoenix Mercury and Golden State Valkyries.
The nine-year veteran is now enjoying an early offseason. She interacted with her fans during an 18-hour flight, answering some questions on her Instagram story.
The former UCLA standout announced her offseason plans following her ninth WNBA season.
“Eat. Pray. Love journey!” she posted. “Take trips! My cup is filled with travel + adventure, so lots of that.
“Spend time with my family (because usually I’m playing abroad).
“Hooooop (duh). Yoga, Pilates, hikes, staying active and add to my game.
“Random side quests like taking a tap dancing class or improv.”

Billings has also played professionally abroad throughout her WNBA career. When asked about potentially returning to China, the 30-year-old responded by saying, “China will always have a special place in my heart.”
A fan also asked her about the possibility of playing in Turkey again. “One of my favorite places in the world! I hope so,” she replied.
Billings has also played in Russia and South Korea during WNBA offseasons. This offseason, however, the Fever forward will play in the Unrivaled 3-on-3 league.
“A lil dilly, a lil dally before Unrivaled begins,” she wrote in another story.
The Fever forward will compete in her second Unrivaled season when the league’s new campaign tips off in January 2027. Billings previously suited up for Hive BC alongside Fever teammate Kelsey Mitchell.
Billings remains under contract with the Fever. She signed a two-year deal last offseason that runs through 2027.
