Caitlin Clark dominated headlines on Sunday night after a career performance. The three-time All-Star led the Indiana Fever to a dominant 113-90 win over the Chicago Sky at Wintrust Arena. The Fever snapped their two-game losing skid while also ending their five-game road trip with a victory.
Clark led all scorers with 37 points, to go along with a career-high eight three-pointers, 10 assists and three rebounds in 32 minutes of action. The Fever improved to 25-14 and remain fifth in the standings.
Clark wasn’t the only one who drew attention during the game, though. Former NBA player Enes Kanter Freedom was ejected from the game following a heated sideline exchange with Sky star Natasha Cloud.
Kanter Freedom recently declared his intention to enter the 2027 WNBA Draft as a transgender woman. His announcement came amid Sophie Cunningham’s polarizing comments about transgender athletes in the WNBA.
Clark and Co. were asked to comment on the exchange during their postgame press conference. The Fever superstar, however, had a blunt reaction to the whole incident.
“To be honest, I didn’t see it,” Clark said. “We were talking about it the next play in our huddle, so I think that’s probably a question for Chicago.”
When asked if Kanter Freedom said anything to them during the game, Clark simply shook her head.
Fever coach Stephanie White seconded her superstar’s stance. The former WNBA Coach of the Year also requested the media not to “give it any gas.”
The Fever have one game left before the upcoming FIBA Women’s World Cup break. They will head back home to host the Connecticut Sun on Friday.
Clark, White and Aliyah Boston will then join Team USA in Berlin, Germany, for the World Cup tournament on Sept. 4 to 13.
