Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever returned home on Tuesday evening to face Breanna Stewart and the New York Liberty at Gainbridge Fieldhouse. The Fever are coming off a wild 90-86 win over the Chicago Sky on Saturday, which improved their record to 20-12 on the 2026 WNBA season.
Going into the game, Clark had recorded 1,589 points during career. And with 5:50 remaining in the second quarter of Fever vs. Liberty, Clark hit a 28-foot 3-pointer over Stewart to improve Indiana's lead to 39-27. This marked the former Iowa Hawkeyes guard's 11th point of the night and the 1,600th of her three-year career.
In doing so, Clark has now tied Stewart as the fifth-fastest player in WNBA history to reach 1,600 points, doing so in just 82 games.

Ahead of Clark and Stewart on the fastest to 1,600 career points list are several of the WNBA's all-time greats, including Dallas Wings guard Arike Ogunbowale (80 games), Chicago Sky legend Elena Delle Donne (80), former Minnesota Lynx star Seimone Augustus (73) and Houston Comets legend Cynthia Cooper-Dyke (72).
Clark had also recorded 402 career rebounds and 680 career assists going into Tuesday's matchup. With her 1,600 points, the Fever guard also becomes the fastest player in history to reach 1,600 or more points, 400 or more rebounds and 600 or more assists.
And Clark beat the previous record by a mile, which was held by Liberty guard Sabrina Ionescu, reaching this feat in 102 games. Behind Clark and Ionescu are Cooper-Dyke (124), former Connecticut Sun guard Shannon Johnson (130) and Seattle Storm legend Sue Bird (139).
Clark and the Fever will be back in action on Friday, facing the Dallas Wings at 7:30 p.m. ET in Indianapolis.
