Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever fell short of their WNBA championship aspirations. The Las Vegas Aces eliminated the Fever in three games in their first-round matchup.

The three-time WNBA All-Star played well for Indiana. She averaged 20.0 points, 4.0 rebounds, 9.7 assists and 1.3 blocks in the series.

Despite the early postseason exit, Clark helped the Fever set a franchise record with 28 regular-season wins.

The Fever will now enter their third offseason with their star guard. They will likely look to improve their roster to pose a stronger challenge next year.

For now, however, Clark will enjoy some time off after another taxing campaign. During her 2026 exit interview, the 24-year-old shared an update about her off-court activities since the season ended. This included an embarrassing personal admission.

“My golf game,” she said at the 15:32 mark. “I’ll be completely honest, this is embarrassing to admit. I stepped up to the first tee, and I swung and whiffed.

“And I told [boyfriend Connor McCaffery], ‘This is maybe the most unathletic thing I’ve done in probably years.’ So that was very humbling. But I have since figured it out.”

The Fever star, who is an accomplished amateur golfer, said she’s making up for lost time on the golf course and slowly getting her groove back.

“I’ve been playing a little bit better,” Clark added. “I think I shot like a 46 on the back nine yesterday, so we’ll take that.

“I’ll probably go play 18 (holes) again today and 18 again tomorrow because I didn’t play at all during the season, just with some of the back stuff I was dealing with. And I wanted to make sure my body was in the best shape as it could be.”

This offseason will be pivotal for Clark. She has the opportunity to sign a contract extension under the Exceptional Performance on Initial Contract (EPIC) provision. If she does, she will join Fever teammate Aliyah Boston as one of the first players to sign under the new provision.
