The Indiana Fever head into Wednesday’s matchup against the Los Angeles Sparks looking to extend their winning streak to three games. However, they’ll have to do so while carefully managing the health of two of their biggest stars.
Caitlin Clark missed the Fever’s last two victories over the Sparks and Las Vegas Aces after suffering a back injury in a controversial game against the Phoenix Mercury, while Aliyah Boston has been managing a right lower-leg injury.
Both Clark and Boston appeared on the injury report on Tuesday as the Fever prepare for tough back-to-back outings amid their West coast road trip. Clark was listed as probable and Boston as questionable, and it was unclear if either or both players would be available to play in Los Angeles.

Before Wednesday’s tipoff, head coach Stephanie White announced that Clark will be available against the Sparks, while Boston will not suit up. She also revealed the Fever’s plan for the second night of the back-to-back.
According to White, the two All-Stars will “flip-flop” for Thursday’s game against the Phoenix Mercury, with Boston set to return against Phoenix, and Clark ruled out (h/t Chloe Peterson of IndyStar).
Indiana has shown it can withstand adversity during Clark’s absence. The Fever defeated both the Sparks and Aces without the three-time All-Star, with Boston averaging 17.5 points and 8.5 rebounds while shooting 63.2% from the field in both games. Clark, meanwhile, had been enjoying another outstanding campaign before her injury, averaging 21.2 points, 8.2 assists and 4.0 rebounds in 17 appearances this season.
Both Clark and Boston were recently selected to the 2026 WNBA All-Star team, marking their third and fourth career honors, respectively.
