Aliyah Boston's career year in scoring for the Indiana Fever has been driven by a major improvement in one key area: her 3-point shooting.
Boston has been sensational for the Fever, averaging a career-best 17.3 points, along with 8.8 rebounds, 2.8 assists, 1.1 steals and 1.3 blocks per game. She's also shooting an efficient 51.8% from the field.
As mentioned, though, it is in her 3-point shooting that she has taken a huge leap. In her first three seasons, she never averaged shooting more than one triple per game. This 2026, she's attempting nearly three 3-pointers per contest.
Boston is connecting on 1.3 triples for a 45.8% shooting clip. To paint a better picture of how great she has been from long distance, she shot just 20.7% from deep in the 2025 season.

Making it even better, Boston ranks among the top players in the WNBA in 3-point shooting, alongside her Fever teammate Sophie Cunningham. Indiana highlighted the achievement on social media with a post commending the two.
"two of the most efficient shooters in the league," the Fever wrote on Instagram. "Aliyah Boston and Sophie Cunningham are Top 5 in the league in 3-point shooting percentage this season."
Boston's improvement in 3-point shooting has certainly made her an even more lethal weapon for the Fever. Now, teams cannot afford to give her too much space outside the painted area.
That should open the floor even more for both Kelsey Mitchell and Caitlin Clark, who are also capable of scoring inside and out.
Indiana is 14-9 on the season and ranks fifth in the standings. Sure enough, it's not hard to see them competing for a top-four spot if Boston continues to stay consistent offensively.
