Kelsey Mitchell and the Indiana Fever are now winners of four straight games, jumping to 23-12 on the 2026 WNBA season after taking down Rhyne Howard and the Atlanta Dream 95-91 in overtime. Now, the Fever will turn their attention to their next matchup on Tuesday, facing Marina Mabrey and the Toronto Tempo on the road once again.
Going into Fever vs. Dream, Mitchell had recorded 20 or more points in 18 straight games, dating back to June 22 against the Phoenix Mercury, which marks a WNBA record for a single season.
And with just over 13 seconds remaining in overtime, Mitchell ultimately secured the win with a driving layup, extending the lead to 93-88. This marked the former Ohio State star's 20th point of the night.

Mitchell ended the game with 20 points on 9-of-22 shooting, one rebound and one assist, while extending her single-season record of most consecutive games with 20 or more points to 19.
The previous single-season record belonged to Las Vegas Aces forward A'ja Wilson, who recorded 20 or more points in 15 consecutive games during the 2024 WNBA season. But Mitchell was able to break that record with a 27-point performance in the August 8 win over the Chicago Sky, which marked her 16th-straight game.
However, while Mitchell holds the single-season record for consecutive 20+ point games, Wilson still holds the overall record, reaching these numbers in 20 straight games between the 2023 and 2024 seasons.
Following the win over Atlanta, the Fever shared Mitchell's new single-season record on social media.
"make it 19 in a row 🔥," the Indiana Fever wrote on X. "Kelsey Mitchell has reached 19 consecutive games with 20+ points, extending her WNBA single-season record."
The Fever will continue their season on Tuesday at 7 p.m. ET against the Tempo, before heading to Dallas to face the Wings on Thursday at 8 p.m. ET.
