Caitlin Clark didn’t need another reminder of how quickly she is rewriting the Indiana Fever record book, but the franchise provided one during Saturday night’s game against the New York Liberty.
While Indiana battled New York at Barclays Center in an important late-season Eastern Conference matchup, Clark added another franchise milestone to a professional career already packed with them. The Fever announced during the game that their superstar guard had moved into fourth place in franchise history for career 3-pointers made.
“Congrats to Caitlin Clark on moving into 4th in franchise history in three-pointers made 🙌,” the Fever posted on X.
For a player still in only her third WNBA season, the speed of the climb might be the most impressive part.
Caitlin Clark Keeps Climbing Fever Record Book
Clark was already moving rapidly up Indiana’s all-time list earlier this summer.
On June 13, she jumped into sixth place after making five 3-pointers in an 85-75 victory over the Connecticut Sun. At that point, Clark had reached 183 career triples.
Then came another major achievement in July.
Clark became the fastest player in WNBA history to reach 200 career 3-pointers, accomplishing the feat in only her 74th career game. Shortly afterward, Indiana noted that she had climbed into fifth place in franchise history with 206 made triples.
Barely a month later, she has moved up again.
That’s remarkable considering how little time Clark has actually needed to make her mark in Indiana. She played all 40 games as a rookie in 2024 but dealt with significant injuries during the 2025 season before returning to elite form in 2026.
Clark’s Third Season Has Produced More History
The 24-year-old entered this week averaging 22.1 points, 8.3 assists and 3.8 rebounds while shooting 44.9% from the field. She has again established herself as one of the league’s premier offensive players while helping Indiana emerge as a serious postseason contender.
Saturday’s opponent made the milestone even more fitting.
New York features Sabrina Ionescu, another guard synonymous with long-range shooting, and the Fever-Liberty matchup has become one of the league’s marquee games. Indiana entered Saturday at 24-13 with a playoff berth already secured as it continued battling for postseason positioning.
There will undoubtedly be bigger records for Clark to chase as her career continues.
But fourth place on a franchise’s all-time 3-point list before the end of Year 3 is already pretty impressive.
And at her current pace, fourth probably won’t be where she stays for very long.
