Caitlin Clark is easily the most popular player on the Indiana Fever, but Raven Johnson is growing more popular with fans each day.
Some Fever fans were skeptical about the 10th overall pick in the 2026 WNBA Draft. Johnson had a rivalry with Clark when they overlapped in college. She was part of the South Carolina Gamecocks team that faced Clark’s Iowa Hawkeyes twice in the Final Four of the NCAA Tournament.
Johnson and Clark had tense moments on the court, including one instance when Johnson waved off her now-teammate after the Gamecocks defeated the Hawkeyes in the title game. Johnson defended Clark effectively in that matchup and even clapped in her face.
That is all in the past now. Clark and Johnson are growing fond of each other, and so are their fans.
A recent Fever Instagram update featured players hyping up fans for the 2026 season opener against the Dallas Wings, with many fans praising Johnson and her bubbly personality.

The Fever players encouraged fans to show up, and Johnson, instead of simply discussing the schedule, turned it into a lighthearted moment.
"What's up everbody. Indiana Basketball Fever fans, we'll see you guys Saturday. You already know what it is. We'll play Dallas at 1pm. Not 1, not 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7. I said 1pm and you better be there," she said.
Her bubbly personality and energy rubs off well to fans.
"Raven Johnson is becoming one of my favorites quick," one commenter wrote.
"Raven 🔥," said another.
"I love Raven. What a great addition to the team."
"New @hollywood_raven fan here!!!!LFG fam!!!"
"how can you not love Raven lol".
Johnson brings more than just energy to the team, as she showed during the preseason. Fever coach Stephanie White said she is not worried about the rookie, who recorded seven steals during the preseason.
"Raven just has some really naturally gifted skill sets and intangibles on that end. And so she makes plays because of that," she said.
