Stephanie White, Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever staved off elimination in Game 2 on Tuesday. They defeated the Las Vegas Aces 99-89 at home to extend their first-round series to a winner-take-all Game 3. The superstar guard delivered a historic performance, and White made a bold prediction for Thursday’s matchup.
Clark finished with 27 points on 9-of-18 shooting, including 5-of-11 from beyond the arc. She added seven rebounds and 15 assists, the most in a playoff game in Fever franchise history in the playoffs. Clark also scored or assisted 58 points, tying the WNBA record for most points created in a postseason game.
However, White believes Clark can still take her game to an even higher level in Game 3. During her postgame presser, the 49-year-old talked about the three-time All-Star’s impact and what she expects from her in the next game.
“She was huge,” White said at the 2:28 mark. “I thought her energy from start to finish — a double-double in the first half — (was) pretty incredible. The way that she moved the ball and attacked from multiple positions.
“You always expect her to be able to make shots and to facilitate, but I thought how she managed the game was really good. And her defensive energy, I thought, was terrific, and it’s what we need from her night in and night out.”

The former WNBA Coach of the Year then made a bold prediction for Clark in Thursday’s do-or-die showdown.
“She was the catalyst for us here tonight, and I think she’s just gonna take it to another level when we go to Game 3,” White declared.
Game 3 will be played at Michelob ULTRA Arena, with USA Network broadcasting it live at 9 p.m. ET. The winner will advance to the next round to face the No. 2-seeded Golden State Valkyries or the No. 7-seeded Dallas Wings.
