Stephanie White and the Indiana Fever are looking to close out their five-game road trip on a high note on Sunday night. The Fever are coming off back-to-back losses and hope to get a win against a 15-22 Chicago Sky side at Wintrust Arena.
It’s the second night of a back-to-back set for Indiana. On Saturday, they suffered a 109-102 loss to the New York Liberty at Barclays Center.
The Fever announced ahead of the game that Aliyah Boston will not play against Chicago. She has been ruled out with a right lower leg injury.
This has been a lingering issue for the four-time All-Star. Boston sat out on Jul. 8 and 17, both of which were on the front end of a back-to-back set. She is sidelined again on Sunday night after logging 22 points and six assists in 30 minutes against the Liberty on Saturday.

Speaking to reporters ahead of tipoff, Coach White addressed the team’s decision to give Boston the night off.
“Yeah, I think it’s more just overall cumulative stuff that she’s had on her leg throughout the course of this,” White said. “Six games in 10 days is a lot, especially when you’re trying to manage like we have with [Boston] anyway.
“There’s always a back-to-back question, but certainly when you’re at the end of a road trip like this, we want to make sure that we’re approaching all of it with extreme caution.”
The good news for the Fever is that they get four full days off before their next game. They will head back home to Indiana to host the Connecticut Sun on Friday. That will be their last game before the FIBA Women’s World Cup break, which will be from Aug. 31 to Sept. 16.
Boston will suit up for the national team alongside Caitlin Clark. White is also part of the coaching staff as Team USA looks to secure a gold medal in Berlin, Germany.
