The Indiana Fever shared Sophie Cunningham's special initiative throughout the 2026 WNBA season.

Sophie Cunningham and the Indiana Fever secured a second-straight win on Friday, jumping to 26-14 on the 2026 WNBA season after a 111-91 win over the Connecticut Sun. Now, as we have entered the WNBA break, the Fever find themselves in fifth place in the league standings, falling behind Angel Reese and the Atlanta Dream (26-14), who hold the tiebreaker.

Through her first two seasons in Indiana, Cunningham has certainly proven her worth on and off the court. In 39 games in 2026, including 36 off the bench, the former Missouri Tigers guard is averaging 8.3 points on 46.9% shooting, 2.3 rebounds and 1.3 assists per game.

But Cunningham has also been heavily involved with the Indianapolis community. She has visited numerous patients at St. Vincent Women and Infants, raised $10,000 on GoFundMe for the Ronald McDonald House Charities and has hosted her own youth basketball camps.

Cunningham has also been heavily involved with the military community, even featuring a Military Appreciation Day at her annual youth basketball showcase, the Sophie Cunningham Classic, where current and former military members received half-priced tickets to the high school girls’ basketball showcase.

And on Thursday, the Fever announced that Cunningham has continued her work with the military community throughout the 2026 WNBA season with Cunningham Corner, welcoming veterans to Gainbridge Fieldhouse for a unique gameday experience. This includes a meet-and-greet with Cunningham herself, along with premium seats to Fever home games.

“Throughout the season Sophie Cunningham welcomed veterans to @GainbridgeFH for a special gameday experience featuring an exclusive meet-and-greet and premium seats courtesy of Gainbridge 🫶,” the Indiana Fever wrote on X.

Cunningham and the Fever will have a few weeks off as Team USA competes in the 2026 FIBA World Cup, before Indiana returns to action on Sept. 18, facing the Toronto Tempo.
