The Indiana Fever saw their five-game winning streak come to an end on Sunday, falling 108-100 to the Minnesota Lynx. Kelsey Mitchell kept Indiana in the game with 37 points, while Caitlin Clark finished with 19 points and 10 assists, but the Fever dropped to 19-11, though they remain fifth in the WNBA standings.
Indiana has remained firmly in the playoff race despite dealing with some injuries to its rotation. The Fever entered Sunday’s game without Damiris Dantas, who had been dealing with a left knee injury. The veteran forward last played against the Seattle Storm on July 17 and did not travel with the team on its most recent road trip.

There had been hope she could eventually return before the end of the regular season.
The Fever announced Tuesday that Damiris Dantas underwent successful surgery to repair a torn meniscus in her left knee and will miss the rest of the season.
Dantas appeared in 12 games for Indiana this season, averaging 3.3 points, 1.5 rebounds and 0.3 assists and was a key frontcourt bench option behind Aliyah Boston. She gave head coach Stephanie White another experienced veteran in the rotation after re-signing with the franchise before the season.
The Fever know how quickly injuries can reshape a season. In 2025, the franchise lost multiple players to season-ending injuries, including Clark, Sophie Cunningham and former players Sydney Colson, Aari McDonald and Chloe Bibby.
This time, the Fever will hope the rest of the roster can stay healthy with just 14 games left in the regular season. Indiana will be back in action at home on Thursday against the Las Vegas Aces.
