Kelsey Mitchell and the Indiana Fever will look to keep their winning streak alive on Thursday night, playing their second of a four-game road trip against Paige Bueckers and the Dallas Wings. The Fever enter the game with a 24-12 record on the 2026 WNBA season after taking down Marina Mabrey and the Toronto Tempo on Tuesday.
Mitchell is having arguably the best season of her nine-year career in 2026. The former Ohio State guard is averaging 24.3 points on 50.7% shooting, both career highs, along with 1.7 rebounds and 2.6 assists per game, earning her fourth WNBA All-Star appearance in the process.
However, while unlikely, Mitchell could find herself unavailable for the Fever’s matchup against the Wings.

On Wednesday, one day before Fever vs. Wings, Indiana revealed its first injury report for Thursday’s matchup, and Mitchell was listed as probable with an illness. She was not on the injury report ahead of the win over Toronto, and hasn’t missed a game so far this season. Mitchell notably left the Tempo game early due to overheating, missing the entire fourth quarter.
Along with Mitchell, the Fever also listed Caitlin Clark as probable with a back issue, something they have done all season, while forward Damiris Dantas is still out, recovering from a torn meniscus in her left knee.
On the Wings side, they will be missing rookie guard Azzi Fudd against Indiana, who has been ruled out for the rest of the season and is expected to undergo an arthroscopic procedure to fix soreness in her right knee.
“Status Report for tomorrow’s game against Dallas: Caitlin Clark – Probable (back). Kelsey Mitchell – Probable (illness). Damiris Dantas – NWT (left knee),” the Indiana Fever wrote on X.
Seeing Mitchell on the injury report, WNBA fans shared their concerns for the Fever guard, taking to social media to leave their thoughts.
“KM’s health is the priority! Better take care of our Shooter. 3 games in 4 days is insane. Let’s be smart about this,” one fan said.
“Seeing Kelsey on here is scary man 🥲,” added another.
“I hate these reports,” claimed a third.
“Please let KM be good. I just want her to hit 21 game streak 🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼,” wrote a fourth.
“Oh great. They gave my girl the flu. Feel better Kelz,” posted a fifth.

The Fever will face the Wings on Thursday at 8 p.m. ET.
