Caitlin Clark not only helped the Indiana Fever beat the Las Vegas Aces in her return from a one-game absence, but she also made history in the process.
Clark, who missed the Fever's previous game against the Phoenix Mercury while continuing her recovery from a back injury, started for Indiana against Las Vegas, albeit on a minutes restriction. Despite that, she made her presence felt with her playmaking and all-around effort.
The 24-year-old guard finished with 12 points on 5-of-11 shooting, along with seven rebounds and six assists. The Fever blew out the Aces, 109-75.
With her performance, Clark also became the fastest player to reach 600 assists in WNBA history. Sunday's meeting with the Aces was Clark's 72nd regular-season game of her career.

She entered the game needing six assists to reach the mark, and she got exactly that. Clark dished out her sixth assist on a bounce pass to Monique Billings with 24.1 seconds left in the third quarter.
The Fever celebrated Clark's accomplishment with a post on social media.
"another record for No. 22," the Fever wrote. "Caitlin Clark has become the fastest player in WNBA history to reach 600 assists in only 72 games."
Clark continues to show that she's one of the best playmakers the league has ever seen. It's worth noting that during her rookie year in 2024, she set a new record for the most assists in a single season with 337, although Alyssa Thomas surpassed the mark in 2025.
The Fever All-Star now has 148 assists this season alone, and it will be interesting to see if she can surpass the 300-assist mark once again.
Clark is still well behind in all-time assist race, with Sue Bird owning the record with 3,234 career dimes. If Clark stays healthy, though, it's not hard to imagine her joining the conversation later in her career.
