Indiana Fever star Caitlin Clark continues to make history this WNBA season.
During Friday's game against the Dallas Wings, Clark recorded 29 points on 11-of-18 shooting, along with 10 assists and one steal to lead the Fever to a 98-87 victory.
Not only did Clark record her 20th career game with a 20-point, 10-assist performance, but she also set a new record for the fastest player to reach 700 assists. The three-time All-Star achieved the mark in 83 games.
Even more remarkable is the fact that no NBA player in the last 30 years has been able reach that many assists in such a short amount of time.

"PG1," the Fever wrote in their announcement of Clark's milestone. "In just 83 career games, Caitlin Clark has become the fastest player in WNBA history and faster than any NBA player in the last 30 years to reach 700 career assists."
Clark improved her season averages to 21.9 points, 3.9 rebounds, 8.3 assists and 1.0 steal per game. She is third in the WNBA in scoring and now No. 1 in assists, surpassing Alyssa Thomas in assists per game.
If the Fever star is able to maintain the same level of production, she could also make history as the first WNBA player ever to lead the league in assists while being in the top three in scoring, according to Indiana.
Clark and the Fever have 10 games left in the season. Considering how well Clark has been playing, particularly during Indiana's last 11 games, it's not hard to see her achieving the this WNBA first and making more history before the campaign ends.
